Messiah Christmas Concert at Greenwoods Sunday, December 8, at 7:00 PM

For more than 15 years Greenwoods has sponsored an annual pre-Christmas performance of Handel’s Messiah, and this year’s concert promises to be better than ever. A fifty-voice community choir, superb soloists (including bass John Cheek of the Metropolitan Opera), and a chamber orchestra will join in presenting one of the grandest musical compositions ever crafted, celebrating the birth of our Savior.  Plan to join us on December 8 for what has traditionally been a highlight of the Christmas season.

As in the past, an offering will be taken for the support of Hearts of the Father Outreach and its orphanages in Africa. This year for the first time we are suggesting a minimum donation of $15 for adults, but this is a suggestion only.  We do not want to deter anyone from attending, whatever amount they may be comfortable contributing.  At the same time, we do not want to deter unrestrained generosity on the part of those who are able and willing to contribute considerably more than the suggested figure!

The concert begins at 7:00 PM, but seating is limited and the auditorium is always packed.  Plan to arrive early to ensure that you can be comfortably seated.  Refreshments will be served following the performance.
